PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor which is superior in safety at high temperature and in long-term reliability. SOLUTION: Metallized films having a metal evapolated electrode on one surface respectively are overlapped, or a meallized film having metal evapolated electrodes on its both surfaces and an insulation film are overlapped, or two sheets of metallized film having metal evapolated electrodes on its both surfaces and two sheets of insulation films are alternately overlapped and wound, and a metal is thermally sprayed to both wound end surfaces to form an electrode leading part. In such a capacitor, at least one of the metal evapolated electrodes is provided with a dividing margin as a non-evapolated part for dividing the metal evapolated electrode into a plurality of areas in the lengthwise direction of the film, and furthermore, the dividing margin is gradually made smaller in a specified range and this pattern is repeatedly formed, thus providing a metallized film capacitor that is superior in safety at high temperature and in long-term reliability. |
