PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance work and to reduce running cost. SOLUTION: This rotary joint for high pressure water includes a cylindrical body 110, a spindle 101 having through-holes 103a, 103b serving as flow paths of high pressure water and rotable in a hollow part of the body, and a seal packing 111 provided at an inner circumferential wall of the hollow part of the body and slidingly contacting with the spindle 101. In this rotary joint, with pipes connected at both end parts of the spindle 101 to introduce high-pressure water from one pipe to the other, and the spindle 101 separately has a rotary seal part 101a which slidingly contacts with the seal packing and a rotary bearing part 101b which receives the rotary seal part 101a on the exit side of high-pressure water to detachably with it. The rotary bearing part 101b receives the rotary seal part 101a, so that the spindle center thereof corresponds to that of the rotary seal part 101a. The outside diameter of the rotary seal part 101a is almost the same as that of the end part on the exit side of high pressure water. The rotary seal part 101a is formed of a material having high thermal conductivity. Furthermore, a water escape passage 107 is provided to drain water, which leaked into a gap 108 between the rotary seal part 101a and the rotary bearing part 101b, to the outside of the spindle 101.
