PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk system which can realize the accurate detailed label recording without requiring an exclusive use apparatus. SOLUTION: In the optical disk system consisting of a host computer having label recording software 4 and an optical disk drive 2, the label recording software 4 includes a recording image selection means 11 which selects a recording image for a label and an image transforming means 12 which transforms the selected recording image into information of a point set according to the polar coordinates. The optical disk drive 2 includes an optical pickup 7 which performs the recording on an optical disk 6 and a pickup conveying means 21 which feeds the optical pickup 7 with the radial direction of the optical disk 6.
