PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the adjustment of a torque size and sufficient torque transmission while reducing a price by simplifying a structure of a flexible coupling and allowing the absorption of core deviation between a drive shaft and a driven shaft. SOLUTION: The flexible coupling is equipped with a male plug 2 having a shaft 6 in which an O-ring 4 as an example of a plurality of annular seal rings made of an elastic body is mounted so as to be slidable in the axial direction and a nut 9 which is screwed in the shaft and in which the O-ring 4 is constituted so as to be axially compressible, and with a female plug 3 which is formed in a cylindrical shape having the accommodatable depth of the whole O-ring 4 of the male ring 2 and the inside diameter compatible to the outside diameter of the O-ring 4 and provided with a vent hole 3b for letting inside air escape when inserting the male plug 2. The O-ring 4 is fastened with the nut 9 so as to be compressed in the axial direction, thereby being expanded in the radial direction. By so doing, the frictional force between the O-ring and the female plug 3 is generated, which enable the torque transmission. |
