Clamping device to be used for holding part of gas generator of airbag while bolt and pin are fitted in particular way

The device (1) is assembled of four swivel mounted clamping arms (14) specifically shaped in order to be accommodated inside the transitional part of the gas generator, a pin holding element (15.4), and a lower part (12) to be attached to the main clamping unit. In a first step the pin is joined to the holding element (15.4) pushing the clamping arms (14) slightly apart by acting on integrated springs (15.2) in order to keep the component of the gas generator which is pushed over the clamping arms (14) from the top safely in position. A bolt can be easily guided through an opening located at the component in a second step. The assembled component can now be removed from the device (1) or moved to the next assembly station while still attached to the clamping device.
