Pressure plate (8) has a rectangular outer edge provided with an elastically deformable seal, acting against filter (7) covering opening in sterilization container and inner region provided with openings (18), separated from one another via coupling struts (17) extending between the opposing longer sides (10) of the outer edge. Central section of each coupling strut extends in direction with component parallel to longer sides of outer edge.
