LONG TERM PRESERVING METHOD OF A MICROORGANISM AT ROOM TEMPERATURE BY ADDITION OF BIO-STONE POWDER

PURPOSE: A long term preserving method of a microorganism at room temperature by addition of bio-stone powder is provided, thereby the activity of the microorganism can be preserved in liquid medium at room temperature for one year or more. CONSTITUTION: The long term preserving method of a microorganism at room temperature comprises the steps of: calcination of the bio-stone at 1,000 deg. C or more to produce the bio-stone powder; preparing a medium for culturing a microorganism containing an optimal amount of the bio-stone powder; inserting a microorganism into a bio-stone powder containing medium; and preserving the medium at room temperature for 12 months and measuring the viable cell number of the medium, wherein the microorganism is E. coli(KCTC 1045), Bacillus subtilis(KCTC 1666), Saccharomyces cerevisiae(KCTC 7911), Lactobacillus acidophilus(KCTC 3143) or Lactobacillus plantarum(KCTC 3104); and the amount of the bio-stone powder added is 0.1 to 5.0%.
