The exhaust gas system has a manifold (2) consisting of an inner (3) and an outer (4) shell between which is formed an insulating space (5). A pipe connector (6) is formed on the outer shell for the tapping of exhaust gas for exhaust gas recirculation from the insulating space. The pipe connector and outer shell may be formed in one piece. An Independent claim is included for a method of recirculating exhaust gas in which exhaust gas is taken from the insulating space between the inner and outer shell of the exhaust manifold. |
