METHOD OF CULTURING COLLECTED BIOPSY CELLS

It is intended to provide a novel method of culturing animal cells and an animal cell culture kit whereby collected biopsy cells, even in an extremely small cell count, can be sufficiently proliferated and maintained so that various cultures and/or tests (in particular, an anticancer agent−sensitivity test) can be carried out, and contamination with bacteria can be prevented without damaging the physiological activities (in particular, sensitivity to an anticancer agent) of the cells. This method of culturing animal cells is a method of culturing a sample containing animal cells originating in a biological tissue so as to subject the cells to a further culture and/or a test. This method is characterized by using a liquid culture medium having an effect of inducing the proliferation of the cells and an effect of maintaining the physiological activities thereof as well as a bactericidal effect and/or an effect of inhibiting the growth of bacteria.
