The device has an arrangement for holding the mobile radio device. It has a contact arrangement for contacting an external antenna socket and a connecting arrangement for connecting the contact arrangement to an external transmission/reception antenna. The connecting arrangement is associated with a protection switch designed to prevent the transmission of non-mobile radio signals via the connection and contact arrangement to the mobile radio device. The device has a holding arrangement (18,22,26,28) for holding the mobile radio device in a holding position, a contact arrangement (34) for contacting an external antenna socket and a connecting arrangement (36a,36b,40) for connecting the contact arrangement to an external transmission/reception antenna. The connecting arrangement is associated with a protection switch (38) designed to prevent the transmission of non-mobile radio signals via the connection and contact arrangement to the mobile radio device. AN Independent claim is also included for a protection switch for a holder in accordance with the invention.
