<p>A device for creating a seal that includes an upper seal (12), a lower seal (14), and a slider (16), wherein mating surfaces (20, 22) of the upper and lower seals interlock. A lifting rib (46) on the slider (16) cooperates with a lifting wing (24) on the upper seal (12) and a closure bar (48) cooperates with a closure bar groove (32) on the lower seal (14). By moving the slider (16) in one direction, the lifting rib (46) lifts the upper seal from its interlocking relationship with the lower seal. Moving the slider (16) in the opposite direction causes the seals to interlock. Also disclosed is a seal device that includes upper and lower seals and a cooperating slider and plug (104). Each of the slider and plug cooperate with first and second mating surfaces of the two seals. In addition, the slider and plug have an exterior tongue and groove portion (116, 114) that cooperate to interlock the slider and the plug.</p> |
