The invention concerns an armrest designed to enhance the comfort of heavy and light truck drivers and to a lesser extent of car drivers when driving with the side window down. It consists in a stable, large and safety-ensuring support which enables to adjust at an ideal height for the driver's comfort by height adjustment of the side window. This provides a relaxed, restful and above all safe driving position, since in that position the hand of the driver is immediately proximate to the steering wheel without getting tired unnecessarily. The stability is also improved for reverse manoeuvres. It is an armrest which provides a comfortable and stable driving position when driving with the window down.
