Power lawn mower with stand-on and sit-down modes with battery located between feet of operator

A self-propelled power lawn mower is provided. The operator can operate the mower while standing on a foot platform, or alternatively when sitting down on a selectively deployable seat. The battery(ies) may be located between feet of the operator in order to lower the overall center of gravity of the mower. Such a battery location may also free other space for other more convenient/efficient uses.
