<p>A controller of a hybrid vehicle, comprising a start control switching means for controlling the vehicle so as to perform a regenerative operation by a regenerative control means according to the operating conditions or perform a torque assist by a short torque supplementing means when the vehicle starts to accelerate in running on a congested road, wherein, even when a temporary highly accelerated operation is requested in running on the congested road, an accelerated operation can be started without uneasiness in the form of maintaining the accelerating operation from the state of running with a large gear ratio, whereby, since a congested road control must not be canceled, the vehicle is prevented from being accelerated from the state of running with a small gear ratio in subsequent running on the congested road to prevent a busy shift, and the regenerative operation can also be performed by driving a motor/generator with an extra torque produced from an internal combustion engine when the vehicle starts an acceleration.</p> |
