The drive (1) for a movable pane or panel of a window or door located on a static frame is particularly for installation in an outer ambiance (22) with high air humidity and/or spray water. It has a drive housing (2) with walls enclosing an inner space (3). An axially displaceable driven member emerges from an aperture (6) in the housing and is directly or indirectly connected with the movable pane or panel. The section of the driven member movable out of the drive housing has a volume which, on axial movement of the member, is replaced by a corresponding air volume from the ambiance which flows into the housing inner space (3). The air pressure balance between the outer ambiance and the housing inner space is effected by an air-conducting device (12,14) feeding into the housing and which is moisture-tight. |
