A cross bar multipath resource controller system and method permit multiple processors (42, 44) in a computer system to access various resource (50) of the computer system, such as memory (M1 - M4) or peripherals, with zero blocking access. In particular, each processor has its own bus (46, 48) so that the processors (42, 44) can each independently access different resources (50) in the computer system simultaneously.
