A circuit for determining whether a square wave at input terminal 4 is in phase or in antiphase with a reference square wave supplied in opposite phases to terminals 5 and 6, comprises a differentiating circuit 19, 20 coupled to the base of a PNP transistor 1 connected in series with two NPN transistors 2 and 3 which are cross-connected to form a bi-stable circuit. The positive pulse from the differentiating circuit cuts off transistor 1, thereby cutting off transistors 2 and 3. When transistor 1 conducts again transistor 2 or 3 conducts according to which of them is biased by the reference signal input, so that the output at terminal 7 is one of two values according whether the input at terminal 4 is in phase or in anti-phase with the reference signal. A complementary output signal is available at terminal 8. |
