A compound represented by the formula (I): (I) wherein R<1> represents hydrogen and R<2> represents hydroxy, provided that R<1> and R<2> in combination may represent oxo or an oxime group; R<3> represents hydrogen and R<4> represents hydroxy, provided that R<3> and R<4> in combination may represent oxo or an oxime group; R<5> represents hydrogen and R<6> represents hydroxy, provided that R<5> and R<6> in combination may represent oxo or an oxime group; R<7> represents hydrogen and R<8> represents hydrogen, provided that R<7> and R<8> in combination may represent oxo or an oxime group; and R<9> and R<10> each represents hydrogen, alkyl, or alkenyl. It is useful as an active ingredient for medicines which have neovascularization inhibitory activity, apotosis inhibitory activity, and cell cycle inhibitory activity.
