PURPOSE: A memory device for storing an image data of a plasma display panel and an application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) for using the same and an image data storage method are provide to reduce a storage capacity of the memory by storing the image data of plasma display panel(PDP) at the optimum, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A memory device(30) for storing an image data of a plasma display panel, wherein the number of horizontal pixels is A and the number of sub-fields is B, the memory device(30) includes a column decoder for decoding a column address of the memory cell in response to an external control signal, a low decoder for decoding a low address of the memory cell in response to the external control signal, an input/output controller for controlling data input/outputs of the memory cell by a predetermined bit number and a memory cell for connecting to the column decoder, the low decoder and the input/output controller respectively and storing the data at the appointed column address and the low address. The number of columns corresponds to a value obtained by dividing the A x B bit number by the input/output bit number controlled by the input/output controller.
