<p>A photoelectric conversion block (11) converts a photodetection signal which has been input via a transmission path into a first electric reception signal and a second electric reception signal. A multi-level identification block (12) identifies the first electric reception signal with a plurality of identification levels and generates a multi-level identification signal. A series/parallel conversion circuit (13) converts the multi-level identification signal into a multi-level parallel signal. A photodetection quality judging block (14) generates reliability information indicating quality of the photodetection signal from the second electric reception signal. An error correction/decoding circuit (15) performs an error correction by the multi-level parallel signal by referencing the reliability information and outputs a corrected parallel reception signal.</p> |
