Induction grill plate consists of a multilayered plate (12) having a thick intermediate layer (14) made of a heat conducting material such as aluminum between two thinner covering layers (16, 18) made of a non-rusting steel. At least one of the covering layers is made of ferritic steel. Preferred Features: Both covering layers are made of ferritic steel or one is made of ferritic steel and the other of austenitic steel. The intermediate layer is not more than 10 mm thick and the covering layers are not more than 1 mm thick.
