To disinfect and clean water processing plants, the water inflow (1) is disconnected. Hot steam, under pressure from the steam boiler (H), is then passed through the pipes to the cooling coil (8) and the carbonator (11), and into the pipes behind the water pressure pump (5) to the pipe and valve system, to detach any residue and disinfect the walls by the effects of the hot steam.
