The cable removal device has a deflector (2) inserted in the cable conduit (9) from one side, transverse to its longitudinal axis, for deflecting the electrical cable (6) so that it is fed through an exit opening (10) in the conduit wall. The deflector has a skirt (1) brought into engagement with the rear edge of the wall opening and a guide surface (13) extending at an angle to the conduit axis below the exit opening.
