<p>The present invention determines the fair market value of a company based upon the company's fundamental financial data. The invention does not rely upon time series valuation data for the company being evaluated and can be evaluated and can be applied to privately-held companies as well as publicly-traded companies. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a neural network (50) is trained to learn nonlinear interpolation relations mapping a company's fundamental financial data (100) to a fair value (1100). Preferably, information regarding endpoints for a range of values that represent valuations of the company within a predetermined confidence level is also provided.</p> |
