PURPOSE: An automatic exhaust brake device is provided to reduce loads exerted to the brake and at the same time braking distance, while decreasing the risk of accidents. CONSTITUTION: An automatic exhaust brake device comprises a pressure sensing unit(30) including a compression spring, a piston connected to the compression spring and formed of a material facilitating the flow of current, a switch for receiving current from a current input unit, and a pressure sensor which contacts the piston when a brake pedal(20) is in a depressed position so as to sense a pressure by the current input from the switch, wherein the pressure sensing unit is mounted on a master cylinder(12); a pressure sensing control unit for controlling the pressure signal sensed by the pressure sensor; a speed sensing unit for sensing a vehicle RPM from the sensor mounted on a gauge panel; and an ECU for receiving signals from the pressure sensing control unit and the speed sensing unit and operating an exhaust brake of a vehicle if the current RPM is higher than the preset value.
