摘要 A method for control of an electrographic printing or copying process is disclosed, whereby the information to be printed is formed as a toner first image on a first image support (4, 122a, 130a, 136, 144a) and then transferred onto an image support (2, 114a) from a transfer print surface (130a, 144a) in a transfer print zone (5, 132, 146). A toner mark is generated on an electrographic first image support (4, 130a, 144a), said toner mark on the first image support (4, 122a, 136) is scanned, at least by areas and finally removed from the first image support (4, 122a, 136) again. The toner concentration in a developing station (8) is controlled with the measured value. The transfer of the toner first image from the transfer print surface (130a, 144a) to the image support (2, 114a) is at least temporarily prevented during the period between the creation and removal of the toner mark. Two operating states are thus generated. In the first operating state, values for a toner concentration control are determined. In the second operating state, printing occurs. As electrographic parameters are adjusted to user specific settings during the second operating state, for example, the charge potential of a photoconductor or a developer roller for adopting user specific contrast settings, said parameters are automatically adjusted to pre-set values by a controller during the first operating phase, with which the contrast level is set.
