Fence post base with flexible joint

A fence post base has a socket 1 for the receipt of a post, and a stem 3 with tabs 4 which may be concreted into the ground, with an interposed flexible joint 2 which permits the fence to deflect, e.g. in a wind, and to right itself afterwards.
