PURPOSE: An outside mirror capable of a position adjusting of a truck is provided to confirm a rear view of the truck by adjusting a position of a mirror housing. CONSTITUTION: An infrared emitting device(12) for discriminating an existence of a load is installed at a lower end of a mirror housing(11), and a light receiving device(13) is installed at an upper end of the mirror housing. The light receiving device measures an infrared ray for discriminating the existence of the load emitted from the infrared emitting device, and sends a measured signal to a controller(14). The controller analyzes and drives a driving portion(15) only if the signal is applied at the light receiving device. The driving portion(15) is installed at insides of a vehicle body. An operating device(16) is connected at a motor shaft(15a) of the drive portion. A pinion gear(16a) is formed at an end of the motor shaft, and a rack gear(16b) is meshed with the pinion gear.
