APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING CONVEYING PIPES USED FOR CONVEYING POWDER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for connecting conveying pipes are provided to reduce working time by coupling a flange to the conveying pipe expanding an inner diameter of the flange by applying heat. CONSTITUTION: A flange(1) is coupled to a conveying pipe(2). Then, the flange(1) is heated in order to expand an inner diameter of the flange by applying heat to the flange(1). Thus, the conveying pipe(2) is easily inserted into the flange(1) since the inner diameter of the flange(1) is expanded. In this state, the flange(1) is cooled so that the inner diameter of the flange(1) is returned to its initial state so that the conveying pipe(2) is securely fixed in the flange(1). Then, a packing(3) is inserted between flanges, and a fixing bolt is screw-coupled into a coupling hole formed in the flange(1).
