PURPOSE: A mask frame assembly and a color cathode ray tube using the same are provided, which can prevent a permanent deformation of a mask supported to a frame by improving an absorption force of an impact applied from the external, and also can improve a picture quality by improving a vibration attenuation effect of the mask. CONSTITUTION: A mask has a hole part where a number of electron beam penetration holes are formed. And an elastic member(70) comprises the second frame(63b) supporting the mask, and the first frame(64b) where the second frame is inserted, and the first plate member(71) having the first fixing part(71a) fixed to the second frame as absorbing an impact by being intervened between the first and the second frame, and the second plate member(72) having the second fixing part fixed to the first frame and being connected with the first plate member. An intensity of the first plate member is stronger than that of the second plate member.
