PURPOSE: A method for generating a report file of an equipments management system is provided to remove the difficult of the output of the report file and to prevent the breakage of Korean letters in printing by changing the report file of a DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) or a UNIX-type report message into an Excel file. CONSTITUTION: A report management module checks the format of the report file by grasping of the content of a report generation command inputted by a manager(S101). The report management module opens a file pointer of the report file in a writing mode(S102). The report management module decides the existence of an option for the header/footer of the command inputted by the manager(S103). If an option exists, the report management module reads the data related with the types of the data selected by the manager and the report is written in the Excel format(S104). The report management module stores the report file as the Excel file(S105).
