PURPOSE: A mobile communication network and a call processing method in the same are provided to prevent the generation of a new PCF(Packet Control Function) process overhead according to the change of a PCF by processing a hand-off without changing the PCF. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication network includes a packet data network for transmitting packet data between inter-different type mobile communication networks, a RAN(Radio Access Network) for exchanging the packet data with the packet data network, PDSNs(Packet Data Service Nodes)(1000) for performing an interface function between the RAN and the packet data network, and PCFs(500) for interworking with the PDSNs(1000) and processing multimedia data. The mobile communication network has a DCP(Data call Control Processor)(600) for centrally managing the PCFs(500) distributively mounted in BSCs(Base Station Controllers)(400,400'). The DCP(600) manages state information of PCFs(500), assignment information of the PCFs(500), state information of a currently progressing call, gateway IP information of each PCF(500), and registration information of the PDSNs(1000).
