PURPOSE: A stud bolt for an AC generator for a motor vehicle is provided to prevent defectives caused due to the excessive coupling torque, while maintaining stability and improving durability of an AC generator. CONSTITUTION: A stud bolt(3) comprises a fixing end(31) having a male screw(30), and which is connected to a battery cable; a cylindrical head(32) formed opposite from the fixing end; and a protrusion(34) formed directly beneath the cylindrical head, and which has an outer diameter larger than the diameter of the cylindrical head. The protrusion has, at an outer periphery thereof, coupling protrusions(35) formed into convex shape and spaced apart from the center of the stud bolt, and each of coupling protrusions has a predetermined width and angle. V-shaped slots(36) are formed beneath coupling protrusions.
