PURPOSE: A flat display device having a control board and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve resolution of a screen and an electron control characteristic of a focus electrode by providing the control board having an improved structure. CONSTITUTION: An airtight container is formed by combining a front substrate(2), a rear substrate(4), and a side glass(6) with one body. A plurality of spacers(8a,8b) is located between the front substrate(2) and the rear substrate(4). An electron source(10) is used for emitting electrons. A fluorescent layer(12) is used for emitting light by received electrons. A control board(14) is used for controlling a path of electron. The electron source(10), the fluorescent layer(12), and the control board(14) are located in the airtight container. A cathode electrode(16) is formed on one side of the rear substrate(4) facing the front substrate(2). An emitter(18) is formed on the cathode electrode(16). An anode electrode(20) and the fluorescent layer(12) are formed on one side of the front substrate(2). A focus electrode(22) is used for focusing electrons passing a hole(14a). A grid electrode(24) is formed on one side of the control board(14) facing the electron source(10).
