<p>A tubular tape is a two-layer hollow tape made of polyester and makes a component of automotive seat upholstery for the first installation. It is distinguished for extraordinary strength and elasticity and for a hollow core intended for inserting of wires for additional shaping and strengthening of car seats. Due to its required resistance to tearing along and across the grain, which could be eventually caused by the wires inserted, it is strengthened along the edges with a weave of a different kind than the weave in which the hollow lower and upper side of the tape are woven. The edge of the tape is woven in the repp 4/4 weave, the upper side of the hollow part in the keper 3/1 weave and plain weave, and the lower side of the hollow part in the keper 1/3 weave and plain weave. To avoid dropping cut capillaries onto the seat upholstery when cutting to pieces, sewing and inserting the tape, the weft of the tape is woven with a monofilament polyester yarn while the warp of the tape is woven with a multifilament polyester yarn.</p> |
