Gas-insulated coiled arrangement comprises: a conductor of a charging part; an insulating substance (14); and an insulating gas (12) as the atmosphere of the coiled arrangement. The insulating gas contains nitrogen gas and an electrically negative gas except sulfur hexafluoride gas. Tapered gaps are formed on the contact sections between the conductor and the insulating substance. Preferred Features: The electrically negative gas is a non-flammable gas, preferably carbon dioxide or oxygen.
