The invention concerns a device for measuring the total pressure of a fluid flow, in particular the total pressure of an air stream surrounding an aeroplane. The invention proposes to replace a Pitot tube by a device wherein at least two fluid layers are sampled in the stream. Said layers are brought in contact so that they mutually slow down in a zone (11) wherein pressure is measured. Said measured pressure is representative of the total pressure (Pt).
