PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion equipment provided with a flame-shielding device, in which incomplete combustion due to blocking of a supply air path can be prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: A main burner 22, a pilot burner 25, and a duct 29 for supply combustion gas to the pilot burner 25 are provided in a combustion chamber R2. A flame arrester 27, with small holes 27a formed, is provided to a bottom sheet 13. A primary thermocouple 26 and a secondary thermocouple 28 are connected serially with poles opposed to each other. The thermocouple 26 detects flame conditions of the pilot burner 25, and the thermocouple 28 detects temperature in the combustion chamber R2. When the flame arrester 27 is clogged with powder dust, the pilot burner 25 sucking combustion gas is abnormally fired earlier then the main burner 22, which is detected by the thermocouples 26 and 28, and the combustion in the main burner 22 is stopped.
