PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling method and device for fuel injection valve whereby the valve opening can be made properly only for the time corresponding to the target injecting time at all times regardless of varying requisite time for valve opening. SOLUTION: A driving current is fed to the fuel injection valve 104, and after confirming the valve opening, the feed of current to the fuel injection valve 104 is continued until the target injecting time has elapsed. Otherwise, the driving current is fed to the fuel injection valve 104 and the requisite time for valve opening is measured, and then the feed of current to the valve 104 is continued until the mentioned requisite time will have passed since the emission of drive signals is stopped.
