PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine boom for an excavator in which members having triangular cross sections are rationally used to provide the maximum weight reducing effect, and which can be actually applied for practical use. SOLUTION: In this work machine boom for an excavator having a triangular cross section, a lower half 12 of the boom 10 has an inverted triangular cross section, and a cross section of an upper half 11 of the boom is formed in such a way that a lower side of the triangular form is positioned on a lower surface. They are coupled with each other by a center bracket 13 at a middle part to be integrated.
