A method for determining the gradients/slopes of transmitted signals detected by the transmitting device or supplied to the transmitting device from a signal detection device and transmitted directly to the receiving device or by interposition of intermediate stations. Time information concerning the time point of detection of the signals is transmitted together with the signals and the receiving device ascertains the signal gradients or at least a time differentiation of one signal via evaluation of the time information.
