The fluid tank includes a feed pump and heat exchanger, and has at least one area of reduced cross section. The tank consists of at least two shells (1a,1b) interconnected along their edges (7a,7b) which extend through the area of reduced cross section (8) and/or in the region of the feed pump (4). The edges of the shells lie in the same plane, or may not lie in the same plane and may be stepped. The edges may be constructed in flange form. The edges of the shells may have locking elements, and at least one edge has a seal.
