A drilling jig for the determination of the axis of a femur head prosthesis

A guide tube (6) with a rounded head (7) is pivotally mounted in a casing (3) and can be fixed by a first set of clamp parts (5) in a given angular position releative to the casing length axis. The casing can be slid relative to a foot part (1) with a cavity (37) for securing it to a femural head (10), in any direction at right angles to the casing length axis. A second set of clamp parts (4) are used to fix the casing into position. The guide tube has a contact bracket which can be spun around the guide tube length axis (14) so that it is touching the femur at the transition point between the neck (16) and head. The tube can be slid in order to achieve the desired position of the tube length axis relative to the femural neck.
