PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the user oneself of portable information equipment must set the time of arriving a destination in a conventional method and needs to re-set the arrival time to the destination each time the arrival time is different from usual time. SOLUTION: Transmission facilities for arrival point codes are arranged in respective transportation means and a target arrival point code is registered in each portable information terminal. The portable information terminal confirms the arrival point code sent by the transmission facilities and when it matches the registered code of the destination, the arrival is reported by an alarm, a ringer, vibration, etc. Consequently, the user of the portable telephone set need not to do anything even in the case of delay and the arrival can accurately be confirmed.
