PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile server that does not have to read an original again in the retransmission of the original. SOLUTION: This facsimile server is provided with a means for transmitting picture data by a plurality of protocols and a means for receiving e-mail, transmits e-mail including the transmitted picture data, transmission results information 23 about the picture data and transmission destination information 22 to a prescribed mail address, and retransmits the picture data attached to the e-mail on the basis of commands 24 to 26 written in e-mail received from the prescribed mail address.
