PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for registering and setting distribution conditions by facsimile server devices even when the facsimile server devices are used. SOLUTION: A facsimile system is equipped with the facsimile server devices 20-1 and 20-2 and a data server device 40 which are connected to one another through a LAN. The data server device 40 stores a distribution condition table 207a of image data in a RAM207, determines a distribution destination of image data corresponding to reception report data by retrieval from the distribution condition table 207a in response to the reception report data from the facsimile server device 20-1 or 20-2, and informs the facsimile server device 20-1 or 20-2 of the determined distribution destination by using distribution destination report data. The facsimile server device 20-1 or 20-2 distributes the corresponding image data to the distribution destination indicated by the distribution report data in response to the distribution destination report data.
