PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device which is flexibly adaptable to a plurality of kinds of encoding systems or a new encoding system. SOLUTION: This device has a read part which reads an information recording medium where digital information encoded by a specific encoding system and a decoding program having entered decoding algorithm for decoding the encoded digital information are both recorded, a program memory which stores the decoding program read out by the read part, a signal processing part which decodes the digital information read by the read part by the decoding algorithm of the decoding program stored in the program memory, and a conversion part which converts the digital information decoded by the digital signal processing part to a specific output format.
