PURPOSE: An operating toy is provided to help children naturally improve a space recognition ability and a comprehensive faculty about the operation of a machine for children by allowing children to easily control an advance direction of the toy. CONSTITUTION: The operating toy comprises: a power source(22) for driving rear wheels(22) of the toy; a transmission shaft(24) rotated according to the driving of the rear wheels; a control disk(26) rotated according to the rotation of the transmission shaft; a control button(28) coupled to the control disk, which serves to form a certain shaped track on the control disk; a control bar(30) sliding along the track of the control disk; and a steering link for front wheels.
