PURPOSE: An angiogenesis inhibitor containing glutathione, a Gardenia jasminoides Ellis for grandiflora Makino extract and a mixture thereof to have a synergic effect on angiogenesis inhibition is provided. The angiogenesis inhibition effect of glutathione and a Gardenia jasminoides Ellis extract is discovered by a chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane assay. CONSTITUTION: The composition for inhibition of angiogenesis contains glutathione, a Gardenia jasminoides Ellis for grandiflora Makino extract and a mixture thereof as an effective ingredient, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or carrier, or an adjuvant. For example, glutathione is treated with a chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane(CAM), and the CAM treated with glutathione(5micron/egg) induces a vascular zones similar to CAM treated with retinoic acid(1micron/egg).
