PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing a cap of a writing tool is provided to prevent the open cap from being separated from a body of the writing tool as well as the unintentional opening of the cap, and to facilitate an opening manipulation of the cap. CONSTITUTION: A pushing member(10) integrally formed with a cap(12) is installed to the distal end of a support(11) about a foldable portion(13) so that the pushing member is movably fitted into a guide rail(21) formed at the one side of a case of a writing tool, and a spring is mounted in a center spring receiving hole of the guide rail with the upper end of the spring being fixed to the upper end of the case, and the lower end of the spring being fixed to the rear surface of the support.
